In the text Macbeth Shakespeare shows what happens to someone when they take advantage of the people that trust you. However the implicit meaning of the play is what happens to you when you treason against the King, Shakespeare had written this play a year later after Guy Fawkes had tried to blow up Houses of Parliament and the King. The history of this play was written to warn people waht happens to you when you treason against the King. The story behind this play starts in 1605 when Guy Fawkes and his Catholic group plot to blow up Houses of Parliament. They rented a basement underneath Houses of Parliament where they stored gunpowder to ‘blow’ up Houses of Parliament
